Mobile Locker establishes German subsidiary
- and launches into the market with full force
Cologne / Antwerp, July 7, 2025
The international provider of smart locker solutions, Mobile Locker, is taking the next big step: with the founding of Mobile Locker Germany GmbH, the Belgian company is consistently expanding its presence in the German-speaking region and making significant investments in the German market.
„This is not a restart, but a strong push forward,” says Jef Van Hyfte, founder of Mobile Locker. „Germany is a strategic key market for us – with huge potential and a growing demand for automated, high-quality locker solutions. We are investing here with full conviction.”
Mobile Locker has been successfully operating for several years at festivals, event venues, as well as train stations and airports in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Now, the next logical step follows: with its own subsidiary, a new central location in the Rhine-Ruhr region, and ambitious growth plans, the company will be even closer to the market moving forward.
„We aim to quadruple our team in Germany over the next 18 months,” says Van Hyfte.
„In addition, we are currently evaluating several further locations in the north and south of the country to expand our presence nationwide.”
Together with experienced manager Sven Martens, who is responsible for building the German subsidiary’s operations, Van Hyfte will actively drive the expansion. Martens brings many years of experience in the German music and events industry. The new location also serves as a logistics hub for mobile systems – the warehouse is currently being significantly expanded to meet the growing demand.

Koen Mortelmans, co-founder of Mobile Locker, adds:
„Our technology has proven itself worldwide in a wide range of environments, from major events and amusement parks to urban infrastructure. Now is the perfect time to strategically scale our offering in the German market, together with strong local partners.”
Mobile Locker is currently active in 24 countries worldwide. The systems are robust, modular, weatherproof, and equipped with features such as cashless payment, charging ports for mobile devices, and online reservations. They are used at festivals, in stadiums, at train stations and airports, as well as in amusement parks. All products naturally comply with strict German safety standards.
The close and friendly cooperation with existing German partners will continue: both Loqvogel GmbH, which has successfully supported Mobile Locker as a distributor in recent years, and Captured Live will remain important parts of Mobile Locker’s network in Germany.
„Automation is one of the key answers to the demographic and logistical challenges in Europe – and especially in Germany,” says Jef Van Hyfte.
„We see ourselves as part of this solution and look forward to actively shaping the market together with our partners.”
